5Rights Foundation and Digital Futures for Children to Host Virtual Launch of “Children and AI Design Code”

5Rights Foundation and the Digital Futures for Children centre are hosting a virtual event to launch the Children & AI Design Code, a new protocol for the design, development and deployment of AI systems that impact children. The Children & AI Design Code— developed by 5Rights in collaboration with leading experts in AI, child rights, law, and policy — provides a practical, actionable framework that spans the entire lifecycle of an AI system, ensuring children’s needs are prioritised by design and by default. The event will be an interactive session with designers of the code as well as digital governance experts.

5Rights Foundation is an NGO working to promote a safer digital world for children through advocacy and public awareness initiatives. Digital Futures for Children is a research center run by the London School of Economics and 5Rights Foundation, focused on understanding how digital technologies affect children’s rights and needs.
