The Kids Online Health and Safety Taskforce (operating under the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) has released its report, “Online Health and Safety for Children and Youth: Best Practices for Families and Guidance for Industry,” including findings on the risks and benefits of social media use for youth, guidance for caregivers and recommendations for the industry and areas for suggested future work.
The report includes a “Best Practices for Parents and Caregivers Compendium,” outlining key areas of related information and a list of tools to help with parenting around social media and online platform use.
